Career story – Niina

”Working in the role of a development engineer has been supported by a comprehensive understanding of the production process.”

After high school, Niina was drawn to laboratory work, and she graduated in her desired field as a laboratory analyst. After working a few years as a laboratory technician, she decided to strengthen her skills by studying to become a bioanalyst. From these studies, the career path led to a slightly different laboratory environment, a hospital laboratory. The work felt meaningful for several years, but interest the pull back to an industrial setting had not faded. Niina returned to CRS as a shift supervisor in the laboratory, and simultaneously, new challenges opened up for her through studies in mechanical engineering.

Currently, her mechanical engineering studies are nearing completion, and with the growth and development of the organization, he has also been able to work temporarily in the role of production manager. Today, she works in a role corresponding to her recent studies as a development engineer. In this role, she manages the daily operations of the development and maintenance department. ”Our department has an important role in maintenance and its proactive implementation to avoid unnecessary breakdowns. With the company’s growth, continuous improvement is essential.”

Working in different roles at CRS has given Niina good skills to act in her current role. ”Understanding the operations of the laboratory and sample preparation helps with almost all projects. My mechanical engineering studies have also brought a new perspective on maintenance and production management.”

According to Niina, the best parts of her job are certainly its variety and teamwork. ”The company has always aimed to improve when we see that something isn’t working or could be done better. I am also motivated by seeing things develop, and the feedback we receive is the best motivator in daily work. In addition, we have an excellent team, and each member brings their own strengths to the group.”
